1958 Cooper T45/51

The Cooper T45, a significant model in the world of historic cars, epitomises the innovation and spirit of British motor racing during the 1950s. Designed by John Cooper and introduced in 1955, the T45 was a key player in the Formula One circuit, representing a shift towards rear-engine configurations that would redefine the sport. Its lightweight design and agile handling made it a formidable contender, securing notable successes in Grand Prix events.

This car offers the opportunity to compete in HGPCA rear engined 2L class in which it will be competitive. It has been widely campaigned in HGPCA class 9 and the VSCC for over 25 years by Tony Ditherage. Fitted with a Crosthwaite and Gardiner 2L FPF engine and ERSA gearbox, this car has been reliable and competitive within the class.

Fitted with Disc brakes all round rather that the drum brakes normally fitted on a  T45.
